3D MODELLING & ANIMATION

3D technique can be used to design a logo, flash animation or realistic recreation of architectural drawings.

Steve has been working with 3D animation for more than three years. His showreel displays basic and advanced animation techniques. Nowadays he works as a contractor for Minds&Pictures and he also teaches 3D Animation and Visual Effects and Compositing at the University of Sydney.

RIFT

Collaborative animation project undertaken by Patrick Cook, Marlise Kalt, Daniel Hologan and Daniel Crisafulli.

Steve was responsible for animation of hero character in petrol station scenes and final scene, modelling, rigging / hero props, scene modelling, initial 2D drawings of main character, and dynamics.

CANNED GOODS

Rigid bound animation with transformable robotic characters.
Simple character modelling with a focus in believable character weight and fluidity of the movement.

MACHINES

Animation driven by simple constraints connecting one machine part to another. Experimentation with running of the renders through various filters in Photoshop - in this case a line draw and film grain were used.
